On RHINOs and other remarks on recent campus activities

I came upon the above image/blurb on yahoo while searching for Peak Stupidity. (I found it.) I'm just looking at the faces of this couple and their clothing accessories.

The contemplative gentleman there in the knit hat - probably purchased via bartering for a bag of weed outside Dead and Company - is likely contemplating nothing more than "When is she gonna get over this business, so I can get laid?" The pretty young lady, well she is a THINO. That's Rag Head In Name Only.

I am sure there was plenty of this (though not the dishrag-wear in particular) almost 60 years ago during the massive protests on about all campuses. Do these people have a cause now too? Sure, and they have a right to protest. However, as with way back then, it's not all about what they say it's about. Getting caught up in something different and "meaningful" is part of it, as opposed to studying one's ass off.*

I wouldn't be surprised if a whole lot the people in the encampments** aren't students at all. Who would want to start this trouble? Logic would say, as with the tone-down of the BLM peacefully-violent protests by Fall of '20 so as not to harm D-squad prospects***, that instigating all this would not help old JoeTater. It's causing a rift in the Coalition of the Fringes*** that we say ought to be left to fester. (No, not Uncle Fester, although that's not a bad idea...)

Ann Coulter had another good column this week, also noting some oversight by the ctrl-left, Jewish contingent, in ADL, SPLC Attacked VDARE, Proud Boys—Totally Missed Real Threat From Pro-Hamas Left/ Is the ctrl-left this stupid? Wait, don't answer that - there's more.

OTOH, when I noted that the ODIUS anti-Amendment-I speech-control bill just passed by the House had a '23 date on it, I wondered how much this stuff may have been planned. I checked quickly, and per HR 6090 originator Mike Lawler (UnConstitutionalist - NY), very proud of himself on this page, he introduced the bill on Oct. 26th of '23. That's after the war had been going on for 2 1/2 weeks. So, we had to DO SOMETHING!! Wiki says yes, but I can't find out easy whether these protests started yet by that date. Instigating all this turmoil in order to finally get Comprehensive HATE reform passed would have been fiendishly clever, but at least it has been taken advantage of for that purpose.

Evil v Stupidity - again, I don't know.

One more thing: Per Gateway Pundit here****, I read:
As Fox News reported, protesters took over the student library (Millar Library) in downtown Portland on Monday and have stayed there since. Only now has the city finally started to take action to end the madness.
Yes, and antifa Commies had been in downtown Portland raising hell for what, 2 years straight, and nothing was done.
Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt pledged this week that he expects felony charges to be filed against the pro-Hamas agitators. These will reportedly include burglary and felony criminal mischief, along with possible misdemeanor charges.
Yet, BLM thugs and antifa misfits did a whole lot of that. Where are the felony charges? Who, whom, hmmmmm...

* Actually, as I saw during the latter part of the anti-Apartheid protests, those with serious majors didn't have time to participate very much.

** This is a newly used term that a friend of mine wondered about.

*** Another bright point by Steve Sailer.

**** Not the main point of what was just another "you gotta watch this! [VIDEO]" clickbait post. Yeah, it worked this time.

PS

It would be awkward, but might work with

“Brenda and Eddie had had it already
By the Summer of twenty two four.”

My wife has been burning through all of our stock of food, so I got a look of puzzlement when I told her I had to go shopping to restock our pantry for the upcoming Summer of Love.

PS: Alarmist, thank you. What was I thinking? I know really - I just thought those types of headwear remind me very much of dishtowels is all.

I think I ought to change this, but it's a tough call for me.

I remember my friend from Alabama telling me about having an Arab-world Moslem young lady over for dinner. One of the grandparents used the word "towel head" somewhere in the conversation. This was a while back. I knew the young lady, who was very nice, from very well-off educated parents, and she didn't deserve that. It was still funny as told to me later nonetheless.

Actually, that pretty young woman in the picture's headgear could also have been from a "Scene from an Italian Restaurant". Maybe that's Brenda, and that guy's Eddie. "Brenda and Eddie had had it already by the Summer of twenty-four ...". Ahhh, the meter's off.

PS: I just watched the short clip in that tweet, O.S. Yeah, that's taking it pretty easy on them. I imagine there was a lot of that back in the 1960s too. Also after years of that, with 100's of thousand or millions involved, and arrest for this sort of thing on one's resume would not mean so much. "Oh, yeah, that. Haven't we all gotten arrested for creating a public nuisance?"

Imagine if Conservatives did this sort of thing to protest the anti-White D.I.E. programs and such. I don't think they'd be processed outside the courthouse, in time to get their breakfasts...

PS: Yes,O.S., the Ivy League schools in particular must have a lot of Jewish big-donor alumni. The lefty D.I.E. departments, which are no small niche offices anymore, would probably support allthis. I'm not sure about the others - they do want to keep students on track to keep that tuition money flowing.

I too wonder how many of the protestors are paid to be there. After I wrote this post, I read a few items on Instapundit about "outside agitators" to take a line by Mr. Roper from the old movie "The Graduate". OTOH, Instapundit is pretty biased on this story, especially the blogger Sarah Hoyt.

Saw the "Colleges are cracking down on pro-Palestinian protests" headline...yeah, yeah, I've heard it all before. I suspect colleges want to give the APPEARANCE of cracking down on pro-Palestinian protests to keep the alumni funding gravy train flowing full tilt. Most of these colleges, behind the scenes, are working with the protestors to help coordinate the protests to get maximum possible public exposure for them. Eventually word will leak out to the national media about the college-protestor coordination and collusion, but the leak will be suppressed, as usual. My question is, as in most all of these college protests, how many of the protestors are PAID protestors...maybe 80%, maybe 90% of them??? Watching videos of the protests, the protest leaders are easily distinguishable with outfits that stand out for their paid shills to follow behind. Later, after the media cameras leave, the paid protestors get a luxurious meal, maybe a warm place to sleep, then it's off to another protest next weekend - all carefully planned and choreographed, right down to the professionally made protest signs. Check your local newspaper and/or internet website for protestor job openings in your area.
