Life Line Screening Update: It's STILL a SCAM!

Peak Stupidity has already had a quick post on the bogus health testing service called Life Line Screening. I wrote that post 3 1/2 years ago, and my experience, described in it, was already a couple of years old upon the writing of it. It was a letter from that outfit telling me to come out and get tested when their van comes around next that got me pissed off enough to write about it.

I had already given them a piece of my mind on the phone - never got the money back, but then I didn't try that hard. Yet, they send letters at least once a year.

Well, since the total SCAM known as Life Line Screening has sent me another invitation letter, I'm just putting up another post telling the vast Peak Stupidity audience to avoid this outfit like the plague. Even if you HAVE the plague, the Black Death 2.0, as some seem to think is still going on, well, they probably won't give you any decent numbers to tell you that you've got said plague.

Screw you, Life Line Screening!

PS: Your new diet probably did MOST of the good, Alarmist. Doctors just don't seem to want to talk about the patient's changing of their diets. Maybe that's because the patients never listen, but it's also because the doctors don't do it themselves, so they wouldn't know what to tell you. I have proof, myself.

PS

I can’t recall if they were the ones one of my employers wanted to send me to as a “benefit” of the job, but I declined the offer.

I’ve had a life-long history of high-cholesterol, and a lot of bad advice on what to do with it, culminating in statins nearly killing me by by Rhabdo. I started doing my own reading, and decided rather than letting doctors kill me or otherwise make me miserable by their overtreatment, I’d just let nature run its course, although I did correct my ways by parting ways with the standard recommended Western diet.

Sure, I might have a massive coronary or stroke in the next ten years, but at least I won’t go slowly over several terrifying and humiliating years like my poor overmedicated Parkinsons and Alzheimer’s riddled mother who was kept alive far longer than even she wanted to be kept alive.

PS: They were supposed to tell me my cholesterol values, Mr. Blanc. The report was imprecise BS, and it took a month. (Had to go to another lab in the meantime to get results on time. Lesson learned.)

PS I’m an old guy. I have a cardiologist. I don’t need no Life Line.
