OK, the Babylon Bee is really funny, and their headlines are especially really, really funny. However, with Florida, and our favorite, Governor Ron DeSantis' Martha's Vineyard madness going on, the real story is getting funnier than the Babylon Bee headlines!

If you don't know already, Governor DeSantis took a move from the playbook of Texas Governor Abbott, but from before that, the playbook of millions of hopeful patriotic Americans, and sent 50 Hispanic illegal aliens up to the ritzy Massachusetts island Martha's Vineyard by plane. Peak Stupidity had a post a few weeks back on the efforts of Governor Abbott's good work in The Lamentations of the Mayors*.

This is also a take-off on the Human Trafficking** efforts done by Zhou Bai Dien himself, though the President's efforts have been done at a much higher intensity (probably 2 or 3 orders of magnitude more people, if it's been still going on) and for a different purpose. Bai Dien's idea is to spread out even more illegal aliens in even more middle American places - first by airplane to White Plains, NY and Newburgh, NY, but those were just the intermodal transshipment points (from airplane to bus) for his freight. (Yes, they had their paperwork for shipment of hazardous materials.

Governor Abbott's and now Governor DeSantis' idea is to send these people to places where the Globalist elites live, so they will feel the pain and the public can enjoy their hypocrisy. Though we're only talking 50 people, it's working out swimmingly for these goals already. (Alright, alright, no Kennedy jokes, puhleeze!) Even better would be a serous amount of people, to where the Globalist elite anti-diverse hidey-holes would be swamped like small towns in the midwest with a formerly American-employing meat-packing plants.

Steve Sailer, back doing the stuff he's great at***, writing about this latest fun in Ron DeSantis Is Taking Max Boot Literally, Love and Hate on Martha's Vineyard, and Massachusetts Mobilizes National Guard to Clear Migrants from Martha's Vineyard. The comment threads are fun too, with criticisms suggestions of the events.

That was just my effort at a review and description of what's going. Let me get to some discussion. A point that came up on VDare too and in the Sailer comments is that it'd be better these people be sent in the other direction, somewhere south of Florida and/or Texas. Sure, it'd be right if they all were. I'm guessing that, because so many of them have been prevented from the Bai Dien Administration from being sent out of our country, it's not the ones that could otherwise easily**** be sent back. If they are going to be here, very unfortunately, it's great they are being used in as pawns in this game to show the elites that two can play at this game.

I don't by any means think this move will have the elites suddenly becoming understanding of, and compassionate for, regular Americans who've been suffering through this decades-long invasion. Hahahaaa...no. No, they hate us, and they don't care what happens to us. The point is, it's fun making them feel the pain, and it's a prelude for much more, leading to some righteous blackmail by Americans, led by Federalists like Governor DeSantis.

American patriots are usually too upright and not enough into these tricks to do things like this, but it's time to start. Though it'd seem to be counterproductive, maybe somebody could start up yet another "Non-Governmental refugee resettlement Organization, and make sure to pick these nice elitist ritzy areas for resettlement instead of Minot, North Dakota or Spokane, Washington. Better yet, how about we bus or fly some of these already "resettled" refugees out of our towns and into your Hamptons, Long Island, your Key Wests, Florida, your Palos Altos, California (hello, Ron Unz!), and your San Juan Islands? The possibilities are endless.

Finally, if you read the title of that last of the 3 iSteve posts, you may get yet a bigger belly laugh - BBLs, not LOLs - from this story. Where will the Mass National Guard take these people? More importantly, what if it were 100,000 or more eventually? We can ship them in as fast as they can ship them out. They send a squadron of Hercules, and we send a air wing of Globemasters*****. Lifters, Bitchez!

Back to the "where", I suppose the Mass Guard won't find have the range to fly down to Mexico with this cargo. Nope, they'll probably send them to cities that really cannot afford to put up with errr, put up, these illegal alien "refugees". Yes, two, or more, can play at this game. Local people need to get involved, yet most don't have the courage to be called nasty names, such as when the Refugee Racket places refugees, that have come all the long way through 5 at-peace countries to get here, in their own towns. We need to keep these people mobile, with a general average vector of 225 degrees, due southwest. What we've gotten started here is a big game of Patata Muy Caliente con los Migrantes. Oh, right, for the Gringos reading here, that'd be Illegal Alien Hot Potato. This beats watching Telenovellas, at least.

*** I refer here to Mr. E.H. Hail's latest post on his Hail to You site Why does Steve Sailer support the war in Ukraine?.

**** I wrote "easily", but yes, it could be done easily, in fact, if we only tell the Feds to go screw and do it ourselves.

***** Yes, the C-5 Galaxy can hold more, but it might have a harder time getting into the vin-yid.

PS: Messrs. Hail, Smith, and Russell, that expansion of this idea for ghetto thugs and MS-13 members, etc., was brought up on the iSteve thread too. They could find MS-13 members on Long Island, NY, from what John Derbyshire has written.

I enjoyed the airplane performance talk too. There are quite a few factors that go into determining what's a long enough runway for T/O and landing. Weight is of course the biggest factor for a given airplane, but runway slope, wind (which can't be depended on), temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure, and yes, obstacles off the end. Nice video too.

"AOC wept."

That's not a happy story, Jack, but thanks.

Ah, yes, I once lived in a nice midwestern city that got multiple, sequential waves of refugees dumped into it. They had this rather large apartment complex that had once been livable, but it got turned into a surly United Nations where only the bravest dared to tread. On large church denomination got paid to "settle" the refugees in the first place, then fled the scene. The largest denomination in town tried to help them with guidance, but it came at their own expense and it was all pretty depressing for those involved. There's only so much good will to go around, and this mess sucked up a lot of good will and resources that could have been better spent on local problems.

Everyone who knew about it (and not many did, it wasn't well publicized) asked the same thing: why here? I think they got sent there because it was a prosperous, relatively low crime town full of people who generally tried to be nice to strangers, and who didn't have the political connections to get the refugees sent somewhere else.

It is amusing to wonder what would have happened if in 1856, some planters had gathered up some of their involuntary employees and shipped them to one William Lloyd Garrison, Boston, MA.

At 600k or so pounds at sea level, you can roll less than 5000 feet to rotate and pitch to climb at up to 2000fpm. Confounders to safely doing that would be obstacles off the end of the runway.

Actually, 500 standard weight migrants (average of 170 lbs each) would only be 85k pounds, so an M model with 333k lbs empty weight and 177k lbs fuel would comfortably carry them and get off the ground. You’ll get somewhere between 5k to 6k nm range.

This guy was probably no-cargo and not so much fuel on this takeoff.

I always loved the sound of those TF-39 powerplants, but the reconfiguration with the CF-6 powerplants allowed them to make the design more aerodynamically efficient. The joke we had in the AF about the C-5 was that it broke every time it was flown, so it wasn’t used as much as was originally envisioned.

I was thinking about this last night as I fell asleep. Why not send more, a lot more? 5,000? Why not 10,000? And why not send some hard core schizophrenic homeless fentanyl addicts? Or some crippled, homeless, alcoholic veterans? If DeSantis or Abbott sent some homeless, destitute, drug addicted Americans would they be treated as well as these migrants? Would homeless Americans receive legal services, health care, food, hygiene kits, crisis counseling, cell phones and prepaid visa cards? Why should migrants be treated better than our own people in need of help? Are these unfortunate Americans not part of our community?

Why not send boat loads of MS-13 gang members or other Mexican Cartel? Surely there are some in San Antonio that might like a free trip to the Martha's Vineyard or the Hamptons? After all, the Good Folks of Martha's Vineyard (and presumably the Hamptons?) welcome everyone.

If they're going to be camping on front lawns I suppose DeSantis and Abbott should send tents and bedding rolls.

The google bot tells me that a fully loaded 767-300ER requires about 8900 feet to take off. Google also tells me that iAero operates 737-300 and 767-300 while Omni operates 767-200ER. Can the 767-200ER really takeoff in just 5650ft (6300ft MTOW)? Is google lying to me?

About that C5 galaxy. I'm getting conflicting numbers for takeoff distance. Some sources say 8300ft while others tell me it's 12,200ft (fully loaded). Don't know which is true? Maybe that's 8300ft empty?

Someone has begun circulating the claim that the DeSantis master plan traces to several mid-1960s satirical Segregationist songs, of a racist master-plot to aggressively send nonwhite peoples to White communities in the northern states which are just minding their own business.

What a FINE place this would be!
If all the n*****s were transported
Up to Washington DC.

Now we don't want no integration
Whites and n*****s must not mix.
Every place that's ever! tried it,
wound up in an awful fix.

A stupid n****r shouts 'Black Power'
We all know that just ain't right...
Let's put them black apes in their places,
And keep all the power 'White'!

We don't want no agitators
Down here stirring up a fuss
Keep 'em up there with YOU, Lyndon,
We KNOW what's best...for us.

Yeah, the idea must be to get them in more easily than they can be taken out. (The island was a great idea in this respect.) Just for the record, though SouthWest does take 100's of 737's into Chicago Midway every day with only a mishap every decade or so, they've got 6,200 ft., while this one is 5,400 ft, and narrower. I write this because iAero, aka Swift Air, has 737s. I think, other than in an emergency, no way can those 767's Omni has get in there, much less out.

Anyway, that's just fun speculation, as there are other planes and other modes. Seriously, I think the key is to overwhelm these people and have the threat hanging over them that "we" (Gov. of Florida, Texas, whoever) may just do it again, depending on what the Feral Gov't does with its non-border control Even if it's only a week-long temporary hassle for the people of the Vineyard or wherever, this is a weapon ready to be used.

Again, it gives a lot of joy and hope to regular Americans, as, after all, this is one of the ideas they've bandied about all the time on internet sites... like here!

PS: Alarmist, yeah, but would the C-5 be able to get out of there, even light? It's 5,400 ft. BTW, it's only 100 ft. wide, tight for those big birds. The C-17 is a good short-field plane, with that engine air that can be deflected downwards off the flaps.

I like your ideas, static-lines or yes, palletization and (I didn't look it up) LAPES, which I assume is Low Altitude Parachute E-something, but, in other words, dropping materiel out the back gate right down over the runway. How high up are they, 10ft?

PS: Thanks for the many links on the story, Adam. I will write to Mr. Hail about this too, under his latest blog post, but I don't quite agree with you and Mr. Hail. I like this effort - I don't think these illegals would have been let (by the Feds) to be sent south, so they would just end up various places in our country, awaiting their hearings, hahahaaa... yeah, they don't seem to get back to those hearings.

In other words, of course, the best course of action would be to send ALL of them back, but if not, lets ship these people around to put the heat onto those who need it. Imagine 5,000, less than one day's worth of entrants at the current pace, getting "placed" in the Hamptons within a week. All hell would break lose there. C-5 can get into Martha’sVineyard, but the longest runway only provides 100 feet more than its published takeoff roll. C-17 can definitely do it if it’s just people and nothing really heavy. Interestingly, the state ANGs that have Globemasters do not include Florida or Texas. Maybe Mississippi can lend a few.

Now, the question for how to deliver these folks, since they aren’t going to want to willingly get off the aircraft at the distant end, is do we give each migrant his own static line parachute, or do we simply palletize them in groups and do LAPES delivery?

At a church where they had been staying on Martha’s Vineyard, migrants cheered Friday morning when they heard the Massachusetts government would shelter them at the Cape Cod military base. They boarded government-arranged buses willingly, officials said, and they arrived at the military installation Friday afternoon.

Joint Base Cape Cod – already an emergency shelter designated by the state emergency management agency – is set up to provide “a safe temporary accommodation appropriate for the needs of families and individuals,” Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker’s office said in a news release.

The migrants “will be housed in dormitory-style spaces at JBCC, with separate spaces accommodating both individuals and families,” and families will not be separated, it said. They will have access to services including legal, health care, food, hygiene kits, and crisis counseling, according to Baker’s office.

At the base, some of the migrants from Venezuela received general information about US immigration laws, according to a migrant who spoke to CNN...

https://www.cnn.com/2022/09/16/politics/marthas-vineyard-migrants-shelter-desantis/index.html

--and--

Residents from across the island and other parts of the country raised more than $175,000 after the migrants’ arrival, according to Beth Folcarelli, CEO of the nonprofit Martha’s Vineyard Community Services. And while there were some large donations consisting of multiple thousands of dollars, most of the donations made for the migrants were contributions between $50 to $100, Folcarelli said.

“In just two days we built such a connection between the volunteers who worked at the shelter and really providing and working with the migrants to really take some next steps for their future in this country,” she said.

On Friday, the migrants were transported to a military base to receive shelter and humanitarian support, officials said.

Before they left, all those who needed a cell phone were provided a mobile device with a US-based number, and they were all given a $50 Visa card, with the help of funds raised by the community, Folcarelli said.

“We did come together, and I think were able to organize really in a very short time, get things going for them,” she added. “People stepped forward right away.”
