See Oh Two Ain't Real Pollution!

CO2 is one of the only 2 products of clean combustion! The other one is unmentionable in mixed Climate Crisis™ company.

In the Peak Stupidity post Derailments and Bai Dien's coming, Pollution in Ohio of about 2 weeks back, I foresaw an additional explanatory post on the Climate Calamity™ nonsense. That was based on the following paragraph in that post:
Instead [that is, instead of reporting on ACTUAL pollution], for the last 20 years, going on 30, we are barraged with talk about Carbon Freaking Dioxide. It is a part of the atmosphere, and it's simply NOT a pollutant in any way. The term "carbon" (rather than CO2), "pollutant" and "emissions" are used to fool the non-Chemistry-inclined (or those whose chemistry involves the intake of chemicals with very long names) into thinking we're talking soot or that stuff that people inhale to die in their garages, something you should NEVER inhale, and the production of said substance, respectively.
I looked back at some posts with the Global Climate Stupidity topic key and realized I'd already said it all about a year ago in the post It's almost as if yahoo wants me to click this....

However, we were remiss in not including the AC/DC song that this subject reminds me of. That would be Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution!. It was the 4th single that the band released from their very successful album Back in Black, back in 1980.

CO2 ain't real pollution.
CO2 won't make ya' die.
CO2 ain't real pollution.
Yeah, the planet will survive!

We're big AC/DC fans here at Peak Stupidity. I'll get around to linking to the rest of them on the site some time soon.

AC/DC was (at the time):
Brian Johnson – lead vocals
Angus Young – lead guitar
Malcolm Young – rhythm guitar, background vocals
Cliff Williams – bass guitar, background vocals
Phil Rudd – drums

Next week's blogging will include that MTG/AOC battle of the hot politicians, the post on the decline of competence, some immigration stupidity, the coverage of which has been sorely lacking lately, and Kung Flu memes, to say the least. Thank you all for reading and commenting. Happy weekend - what's left of it.

HEGELIAN DIALECTIC
An interpretive method in which an assertible proposition ("thesis") is necessarily opposed by an equally assertible, apparently contradictory proposition ("antithesis"), the contradiction being reconciled on a higher level of truth by a third proposition ("synthesis"). [1850s]

It would seem that Prof. Dr. Kief may be suggesting that Hegel would NOT have liked the much-praised "🕉," for "🕉" is, in Hegel's system, too much of a one-way dead-end.

Scott Adams newest commentary on the controversy, continues to refuse to apologize.

(possible headline: Scott Adams claims, without evidence, a "trend" to so-called "anti-whiteness"; ADL, SPLC urges hate-crimes charges.)

_____

(quote from Scott Adams)

"Is there anyone who HASN'T noticed that there is a trend towards Anti-Whiteness in the United States? It's kind of noticeable!...

There was no journalism about 'why' I said what I did. Isn't that the biggest part of the story? But it's missing from the story. ....The weakest 'take' was to question me on the validity of the Rasmussen poll. The poll was just my 'jumping-off' point.

How many of the stories said, in a cowardly way, 'Let's talk about the quality of this one poll.' As if that THAT were the important thing. That was a cowardly approach to this story. That came from people who wanted to talk about it, because it's a big story, but they definitely DIDN'T want to tell you about the story, so instead they found a little safe harbor: 'Well, let's talk about the statistics. Let's talk about the margin-of-error...' (which, by the way, if they'd talked about it accurately, they'd have found that the margin-of-error was only 8%). But the poll was never important to the story.

How many people believed that I was 'fooled by a bad poll, and based my opinion on that bad poll'? Of course not. Who in the world would do that? Imagine the only thing I saw was one poll, and that nothing else had influenced my thinking. Do you think I would have done it if I had just seen one poll and it didn't agree with every observed reality? If I didn't see every screaming signal pointing in the same direction?"

(end quote from Scott Adams)

He says he will make more comments on the racist rant controversy in an exclusive interview with Chris Cuomo, who now works at a minor news-channel called News Nation.

End of update, thanks for reading, Adios

PS: I have no more faith in female German Astrophysicists, Dieter, as if I had been some sort of fan before, after watching your video.* She is no engineer, let me put it that way. I seriously think that, though she continually refers to the "energy balance", she does not understand the WHY of the equilibrium - there is no such thing as an "out of balance" situation, but maybe that's just her manner of speech.

You have got me ready to write a post about this video, Dieter, so I appreciate your bringing it up here. I'll say no more till I write the post.

@Hail, that is the Sanskrit for Om, which in Hinduism and other religions chiefly of India, is a sacred syllable considered to be the greatest of all the mantras, or sacred formulas.

The syllable om is composed of the three sounds a-u-m (in Sanskrit, the vowels a and u coalesce to become o), which represent several important triads: the three worlds of earth, atmosphere, and heaven; thought, speech, and action; the three qualities (gunas) of matter (goodness, passion, and darkness); and the three sacred Vedic scriptures (Rigveda, Yajurveda, and Samaveda).

Thus, om mystically embodies the essence of the entire universe.

PS: Yes, thanks for bring that up, Mr. Anon. I'd read about that in "The New America" (John Birch Society) magazine. Either they take the whole world for ignoramuses who don't know the composition of the atmosphere or a lick of chemistry, or they simply don't care as they have the might. Controlling the food production is just another level of control above controlling energy usage.

Shouldn't their goals be obvious to most people now?

- (draft of) review of WIN BIGLY by Scott Adams -

(this is a continuation of the previous comment, updates on the Dilbert "racist rant and mass-cancellation" controversy)

Scott Adams, many will recall, came into some prominence for his political-commentary blog in the 2010s. Steve Sailer long ago linked to him. In fact, the two men (Sailer and Adams) have led parallel lives in many respects. They even look very similar. This makes it strange that Steve Sailer has chosen a radio-silence approach, so far, on the Scott Adams race controversy. I am thinking 2000s-era Steve Sailer would have much to say about the controversy.

Scott Adams really hit it big when he predicted a Trump general-election victory as early as September 2015, a time no one believed Trump could win, and even supporters said "at least it'll send a message to push this bozo forward." His book, WIN BIGLY, was a follow-up on that fame, and on the whole tenor of the times. Scott Adams himself was very safely outside the crosshairs of Wokeness at the time and got a cushy book deal.

Some of the contents of WIN BIGLY make it clear that it was primarily written between about December 2016 and July 2017, and by the end of the latter month meaningful changes were probably finished, so peg it to the "Q1-2017 into Q2-2017" period. The tone was pro-Trump without saying so directly.

The book was published and mass-distro'ed everywhere in October 2017 to some acclaim at t he time. It was meant as a retrospective on the previous two years.

WIN BIGLY is a simple, easy-to-read, pop-audience book. It resembles a self-help book in the important ways. Think of a Dilbertized and slightly esoteric version of "How to Win Friends and Influence People," which book Scott Adams says in WIN BIGLY was a big influence on him, and suggests the pastor was also a direct influence on a young Donald Trump.

The biggest influence on his own thinking, though, Scott Adams says, was a hypnosis course he took in his mid- or late-twenties in the 1980s in California. He claims it snapped him into a new way of thinking, basically describing a religious epiphany. There is a little of the Prosperity Gospel in Scott Adams' religion, if a religion it be.

The funny thing about WIN BIGLY: although it is most definitely about the Trump campaign and early presidency, and the Trump phenomenon, it strangely somehow avoids anything but superficial references to politics. It is concerned only with Trump as a "Master Persuader" and with analyzing his performance and tactics and strategy in that regard.

- Dilbert controversy updates -

(a.) Dilbert's final syndicated comic will be March 13th. Dilbert and co. have been chased out of mainstream comic world.

(b.) Scott Adams says he will continue to draw the cartoons on a pay-platform and will "let loose."

(c.) Scott Adams says he had no plan for this to happen by making his race comments.

(d.) The best theory for why the Woke-mobbed him and exterminated Dilbert (not why someone complained about the race rant, but why the cascade happened as it did, so total and brutal) is: they wanted Scott Adams gone because the 2024 election is approaching, and he was a surprise hit in the 2016 election. That theory is according to Scott Adams.

(e.) I picked up Scott Adams' book on the Trump 2015-2017 phenomenon. It is called WIN BIGLY. (review in next comment)

Not content with the War on Carbon, the same Globalist Overlord Class are opening up a War on Nitrogen:

https://www.brusselstimes.com/218107/reducing-nitrogen-emissions-flanders-launches-public-enquiry

"Significant excess nitrogen has been registered in the natural environment since it is used as a fertiliser for intensive agriculture."

The Dutch government has already started in on this and the Germans I believe are following suit as well. Their proposed solution? To expropriate farms and take that land out of agricultural use.

I find it hard to believe that "excess nitrogen" is all of a sudden a big problem. Nitrogen is about 80% of the f**king atmosphere. How would you know? So you walk past a fertilized field and it smells like ammonia. Deal with it. Or don't walk near fields. Are people dropping dead of the Bends in Belgium now?

What this all really is - the War on Carbon, the War on Nitrogen (which element will be next?) - is a War on People, on their ability to feed themselves and live decent lives.
