Ooops, still political here this morning, but we'll put some nice REAL Christmas music up later on.
This comes to me from a friend who's been supplying me with a number of good memes.*
Vetting, indeed. From the Book of Mathew, Chapter 24, here's verse 19 (KJV): And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Well, we're no Kingdom of God here, and, in fact, are even farther from such a place than in the past. Yes, under the traitor Mayorkas and the Bai Dien Administration, rich man, poor man alike can enter America atop a camel through a wide gap in the razor wire, cut by some big fat Fed, who I imagine looks nothing like St. Peter. You may get a poke in the eye, blister on your finger, blister on your thumb... No, that ain't vettin'... that's the way ya do it.

Groan, Mr. Smith, but isn’t that joke more appropriate, such as it may be, for Easter? Monty Python’s Life of Brian did have a cute opening, with the Magi bringing a balm for the Christ child, but the dear lady thought she heard it was a bomb.
I was in a meeting in London in a fairly low-rise building in Mayfair, but joked I could see my house down the street.

Achmed, "Look Peter, I can see your house from here..." is an Easter joke. Goes a little some like...
Jesus Christ is dying on the cross, his disciples are gathered around, crying. Peter looks up and notices that Jesus seems to be calling him... "Peter, come here" says Jesus. Peter, thinking he is about to receive a profound religious truth, tries goes to Jesus but Roman soldiers push him back.
Again Jesus summons, "Peter, come here." Peter tries to, but Roman soldiers again push him away.
Jesus summons a third time, "Peter come here." Peter gathers all of his strength and finally breaks through. Bleeding from several lance wounds, Peter says, "Yes, my Lord. What is it?"
Jesus smiles lovingly and looks upon Peter and says, "I can see your house from here!"
Or something like that...

Haha, Alarmist - good cartoon. Speaking of that movie, I just embedded one quick scene from "The Life of Brian" in an iSteve comment. That movie was very controversial at the time, but it played at theaters anyway because Christians don't go balming [sic] theaters when they've been blasphemed, as opposed to had it been a movie called "The Life of Moe".* Funny is funny, and that scene "He's making it up as he goes along!" is one of my favorites.
* Not many Moslems were in this country in the early '80's (?), but they make it up in vehemence.
