Marjorie Taylor Greene summarizes the Feral Gov't national security threat

I'm in LUV! With her mind, of course ...

Peak Stupidity has written much praise about this Congresswoman from northwest Georgia, all of it in the one post MTG v AOC.* (The regular reader will likely know where we stand regarding the latter contender.)

The recent Gateway Pundit** post titled Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz Offer Grim Assessment of National Security After Chairman Turner’s Suspicious Warning describes an excellent use by MTG of ctrl-left/NeoCon talk about "national security challenges" to summarize the ACTUAL "challenges"*** that face this country. One might call this a troll job, as MTG answers this new (Ukraine support-requiring) NeoCon concern with her agreement, but then describes the ACTUAL concerns. I'll excerpt it all. First, she's concerned along with everybody:
Are we facing a national security threat?

It’s my duty to be honest with you. Yes. It’s real.

I went to the briefing today in the SCIF
[Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility].
Let her summarize this national security threat, to avoid any misunderstanding:
Our President is a dementia patient in charge of our country and the nuclear football, who ripped our border wide open to over 10 million people and counting from over 160 countries around the world and 2 million of them we never caught, however an unknown number of those are in fact terrorists who want to kill you.

Not only that, the administration has empowered the criminal cartels and they not only control most of our southern border, but are also making tens of billions from human and drug trafficking and have expanded their international operations to have a strong foothold inside the United States.

Along with that, the government you trusted with your hard earned tax dollars has enslaved us all in over $34 TRILLION in debt. Communists China owns most of our debt and China makes most of our critical chain supplies, you know like medications that keep many of you alive.
Wheeewwww, sounds bad! Anything else?
Now the interest rate on that debt is climbing so fast that the annual interest alone is soon to be bigger than our entire defense budget.

Turns out the “smart people” running the federal government have made so many bad decisions with foreign policy, sanctions, and trade that our dollar is under dire threat and soon could no longer be the world’s currency.

This means that your 401K’s, retirement accounts, stock portfolios, and savings could soon be worthless and your government mandated social security account that most of you depend on in retirement could soon be wiped out.
These are just a few of the terrifying top national security threats we face.
Yep. The rest of the threats are regularly described here on the Peak Stupidity blog.

Miss (now?) Greene wraps up the troll job:
However, perhaps the greatest threat is the federal government has become so powerful over the people that it leaks “intelligence” to the press in order to pressure Congress to make certain votes, protect its own power to spy on its own citizens, maintain power and protect its own job security, and most terrifying of all has become weaponized to crush its political enemies.

All of this you I’m telling you didn’t come from the SCIF, you already know, and I’m depending on you to help me stop our greatest national security threat, the one from within.
Absolutely right!

Marjorie Taylor Greene, you magnificent broad, you read my blog!!

That's no slur there. As seen in Patton - we have a clip in this old post.

* Our follow-up to that post, MTG v AOC, Afterword: Women in politics discusses a subject that we'll broach again in a post to come soon.

** Yeah, I know. I've been getting 1/2 the posts off of there. A review is coming.

*** "Challenges" has been a Big Biz euphemism/buzz-word for "big freaking problems" for a few decades now.

PS
Mod - I've written ab it about MCGilchrist and soem critical remarks too at iSteve - California Highways post.
He has some fresh thoughts - and he is a very experienced pro - so - - - .
Btw. - Jordan B. Peterson's conversations with him are much more detailed.
And I have linked a strictly traditionally philosophical approach to him in my second Sailer post under the Highway article; there also a link to this discussion here, hehe.
Of course I'd like to hear what you think about the video Mod.

PS: Dieter, though I'm glad to see there are on-line versions of the 2 books for you to read, I was not so much in agreement with Mr. McGilchrist after having watched the video.

I could tell you a little bit why here or maybe write a post.

PS: Adam, I think it was just the use of the term "Large Marge" (in charge?, haha) itself that made me think you weren't so fond of her. When all we have left sometimes to fight the ctrl-left is ridicule, I will tend to make use of it.

Thanks for the correction on you opinion. Yes, I did get your point that. She's not great orator and Constitutional scholar. (We had one for President even, and he didn't turn out so well.) She fits in well with the House of Representin', as seen in the movie. That she's the best we got does say something, but she IS pretty good.

Thanks for the 2 more books.

PS: Thank you, Dieter!

Without you and your literary suggestions the Peak Stupidity Book Club would not be nearly so robust or interesting.

PS: Good morning, Mr. Moderator,

I generally like Large Marge. I truly think she is one of the few good ones in The House of Representin' and I don't recall making any (many?) derogatory comments about her. (Perhaps you're thinking about Mr. Hail's comment from March 22, 2023 at 8:30am MST under post 2556?)(Not that Mr. Hail's comment is derogatory, just an observation.)

I guess what I mean when I say 𝑊𝑒'𝑟𝑒 𝑎𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 “𝑀𝑎𝑟𝑗𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑒 𝑇𝑎𝑦𝑙𝑜𝑟 𝐺𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑛𝑒 𝑖𝑠 𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑏𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑟𝑒𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑔𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑠” 𝑝ℎ𝑎𝑠𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑑𝑒𝑐𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑒, is that with 435 congress critters it's a shame that there are so few good ones. (And so many absolutely horrible ones.) It's pretty wild that she is the meter stick by which we are measuring the others.

Is she really the among best America has to offer for such an allegedly lofty position? Apparently, yes. Yes she is.

And as Tiny Duck might say...

That shuld tell yu somthing right their.

I see it as an indictment on the system as a whole, or of the idiocy of the electorate or the unseriousness of our dead gay country... or something. If Miss Marjorie is truly among the best in the House of Representin', as I believe she is, then what does that say about universal suffrage? Or about American style democracy? Or the chances of averting the continued decline?

Well... I prefer to be optimistic and I'd like to end this comment on a positive note. So...

Stay tuned, decline and fall aficionados!
The best is yet to come!

PS: I've got your video cued up and ready to be listened to this morning, Dieter. Now, as to where Miss Greene fits in, which hemisphere is she using when she tell people like David Cameron, via a reporter - to kiss her ass? ;-}

We are better off for people like this who don't try their damndest to get along all the time. (Usually it's the women that are the most prone.)

Yes, I saw the video, Alarmist. I will say that she got the reference to Hitler backwards - she was supposedly the "appeaser" to Putler, and also she didn't appreciate "that kind of language", she did feel comfortable telling the reporter that Cameron can kiss her ass. I for one, appreciated it, logic errors aside. Oh, and then she slammed the door on the reporter, which was also a nice touch. If we had 200 such Conservative non-fitter-inners in the Congress, we'd be in good shape.

PS

I never really cared one way or another for MTG, but she won my heart this week when she told a Brit reporter, who mentioned the comments of a former Brit PM now FM about refusing to send even more aid to Ukraine that “David Cameron can kiss my ass!”

Here is Sky News hyperventilating about it:

'Kiss my ass': Marjorie Taylor Greene's message to David Cameron carried no regard and no respect

Source: https://news.sky.com/story/kiss-my-ass-marjorie-taylor-greenes-message-to-david-cameron-carried-no-regard-and-no-respect-13071776

BTW, Cameron ... Sorry, that’s Lord Cameron, was the guy who while at Uni was photographed with his Johnson inserted into the mouth of a dead pig.

Yeah, that guy deserves all the respect that MTG gave him for that as well as many other crimes against the Britons.

PS About Marjorie Taylor Green's reality and - reality as such

Reality is something else, philosopher Georg Wilhelm Hegel famously analyzed in The Phenomenology of the Spirit ca. 1800.

Hegel drank a lot while he wrote this famous book, we know that because - well, Hegel was quite famous and that brought it with it that historians of science and other reliable folks looked out for all kinds of things that would help us to understand this man better. So - we not only still have letters of people who drank with Hegel or have at least been around when he did so, but we have bills he paid, Mod. - hard facts, that allow us to see how the price of Bordeaux wine developed - over the centuries.

By saying that .r.e.a.l.i.t.y. 'd be hard to grasp, just because it is .s.o.m.e.t.h.i.n.g. .e.l.s.e. than - we, than our spirit (our mental capacity= our intelligence!) Hegel penned down some hard social truths, that are reconsidered and - battled with - - - fought over to this day (and this will not end).

One of the interesting thinkers today is a very nice - noticer! in his seventies, who lives on the Isle of Skye. I find him interesting because he has done literary science, then dropped out of frustration and became a neurologist, then a psychiatrist, then moved on to philosophy: Iain McGilchrist: Author of:

The Master and His Emissary

and: What's the Matter With Things? -

Now I have read neither of the two books but spend a dozen hours easily with what Iain McGilchrist says and thinks and am looking forward to at least looking into his books in 2024.

He summarizes his findings thusly: It is a grave modern mistake to do away with God. It is very misleading to look at the world as something that would be at our command and it is most important in his eyes, that we distance ourselves from this idea to conquer - reality and dominate it grim and harshly: And he adds: We'd better develop a sense of charming belonging.

Here he speaks with the gentle young Irish philosopher Luke Martin for 45 minutes - not least about the left (the analytical, facts oriented) and the right (the holistic, the story oriented, the one with room for belonging) hemisphere of the brain - and what these hemispheres do - and don't. -

Spoiler: Patients with only one hemisphere left are much worse off if this is the left hemisphere: Often very frustrated and angry, bitter) says the neurologist McGilchrist.

McGilchrist has a knack for the philosophical tradition that sprang from Hegel's Phenomenology of the Spirit: The Phenomenologists like Max Scheler for example. But, Mod.: He also thinks the music is so important for us, even though we can't really: Explain it. (Same is true for poetry: His theory of poetry is very concise and interesting too: He says that poetry as another right-hemisphere thing lets us experience the limitations of our regular use of language (poetry somehow undermines our everyday view of life and thus opens us for the limitations, that we accept in our daily lives, simply to get along*** - - - - ). ***we have to get along, no doubt about that, but getting along not only helps us to succeed - it also limits us (and poetry lets us experience how limited we are.) - Now: Marjorie Taylor Green (as a politician) tries/ has to deal with reality.
