PS: Adam, I also don't like the shorts for the same reason. I've been watching video in that TV 4:3 (horizontal:vertical) and movie 9:6? for so long that I don't like the portrait (vs landscape) display. Not only that, but since these phone screens, and iCrap of all sorts seem to take video on the chip I guess in a wide rectangle format, why would you display it the other way and waste all the space on the side. If I haven't written a post long ago on this bit of curmudgeonry, and I don't remember doing so, I should be ashamed of myself!

It sounds like Shiloh Hendrix's kids' father is helping out. She never said "husband", and, as I wrote in the post, I could find nothing on a husband. PS: Thanks for your heads-up elsewhere about your explanations about your youtube channel videos here, Adam. I understand your reasoning - it sounds like you've got some things figured out as far as how these yt censoring algorithms work. However, I went straight to your channel, via the link I put in my Shiloh post, and I still didn't see it. (I'll try again later.)

As for the 113 views of the Steve Sailer video, I saw 10k written there. Is that the total views on all channels, etc. where anyone includes it? Do you see a different number just for views specifically on your channel? I think the 11 character code is to distinguish videos put up separately - could be the same youtube member but officially a different video even if it has the same content for the same length of time. However, if I watch this "Shiloh at the Park" video on your channel (if I see it again) vs that one found as number 99 or whatever, on the main yt search pages. would the code be the same?

My friend, going by CHLR now, who writes in here had joined up long ago for business reasons - he may be able to explain something here.

PS people on my local Nextdoor are freaking out that Trump is allowing a bunch of white folks into the country---I asked who would you rather have? --these guys or thousands more Somali's? --no doubt I will be banned for a bit!

As you can see from my links above the video ID (rc-Qi7PuSr4) is the same no matter which format you watch. Good Morning!

I would like to take this time to give all our wonderful supporters an update as to what has been happening with my family and myself.

This past week has been so very stressful and complicated. We have constantly been on the go, all whilst attempting to remain unseen. My children are handling things fairly well. Their father and I are trying to make this situation as fun, and as stable as possible!

We continue to receive harmful threats, but I am confident that we are taking the proper steps in order to remain safe. I refuse to let any harm come to my family.

This fundraiser has truly been life changing. It has given me hope one minute, and overwhelming panic the next. The not knowing of the future can leave a pit in one's stomach!

With that being said, I am glad to announce that we have starting receiving our funds! We have a wonderful support team on our side who have been working day in, and day out to give us their guidance. Without their help, your donations, and the folks from Give Send Go, we would have been lost in the dark. We can now work on starting a new life.

I am so grateful for you all. Amazing things can happen when like minded individuals work together. We have proven just how powerful and great we are! Keep standing up for what is right!

Most of my videos are "unlisted" meaning that they do not appear in a youtube or internet search but anyone with the link can view it. I do this for a few reasons...

• I feel the videos are more exclusive if they are not searchable on youtube. I use the youtube channel so we can post (sometimes hard to find or potentially controversial) videos here and on unz. I really don't care about people being able to find them with a youtube search.

• One time, a couple years back, I had about 10 "unlisted" videos and I decided to change them to "public", meaning they would appear on a youtube search. When I did this the youtube algorithm flagged most of them for various reasons (one of them was a tanker truck exploding that youtube flagged for violence although there was no violence involved) and made them non-viewable for anyone. They wouldn't let me change them back to "unlisted" and they wouldn't let me re-upload them. They worked fine and had been viewable for months as "unlisted" videos. Once I changed them to "public" they were flagged and forever banned. (I suppose I may have been able to re-encode/reformat the videos so they had a different formats/codecs/bitrates and then the algorithm might not have noticed them when I re-uploaded them. I never tried that so I don't know if that would have worked.)

• One of the reasons that I published the Shiloh video as "unlisted" is because I did not want it to be flagged (and/or banned) and I did not want a strike on my channel. (I had a couple strikes a while back for some reasons which I no longer remember. After some period of time without anymore bad behavior the strikes go away.) I figured that if this video was "public" (searchable) that some people might flag it for raycisms or something and youtube would censor it. My previous experience with my "public" videos being flagged/banned/un-viewable shaped my decision. I have noticed that "unlisted" videos are less likely to suffer the wrath of the algorithm. (I wonder if youtube has censored/banned this video when published as "public" contributing to this video being difficult for some people to find.)

• The Sailer video is public. I did this because I thought that the Sailer video should be searchable and, because Steve is very polite and congenial, there would be no reason for youtube to censor it. I was willing to take the risk of youtube banning the Sailer video because I wanted to see what would happen. If they did censor it I would have appealed their decision as there is nothing in Sailer's video that violates youtubes terms of service. Thankfully, youtube did not flag, ban nor censor Steve's video.

Apparently 30% of the people who watch the Sailer video (which is my second most popular video this period with 113 views) (the Shiloh video has 122 views) found it through a youtube search. 34% of the views come from external links such as those found here or on unz or where ever they may be found.

Also, if the Shiloh video were public it would not be found under the videos section. This video (44 seconds long) would be found under "shorts" if it were public because that's just the way youtube does things.

I guess I don't get how this all works either but perhaps this answers some of your questions.

PS: This is for Adam Smith. Without signing up on youtube, I can't write you there, or else I would. What is the deal with the Shiloh Hendrix video? It doesn't appear anywhere on your channel.

Since the video is still embedded nicely in my post from last Saturday, I guess that means youtube still hosts it. I.O.W., that 11 character code still is attached to the original video. I just spent a couple of minutes looking for it directly on yt, but no, I got plenty of videos of people talking about the video - not what I want.

So, are they just making it hard to find, though it's still there? Did you take if off your channel, did they tell you, or did it just disappear?

BTW, I see that all except one of the videos on"The Adam Smith Channel" have in the range of 50 views, meaning those are the views directly off your channel (say, views from people on TUR watching something you've embedded there, or I something I've embedded from your channel). However, the Steve Sailer speech says 10k views. Could that be based on an embedment of this video on TUR - sounds still like too many?

I guess I don't get how this all works. Maybe you can explain, Adam.

PS: We'll have to see where Trump ends up standing on the issue of legal immigration, Alarmist - I hope Elon Musk didn't get to him. As for the Europeans, as soon as they make headway politically, their governments make their political parties illegal, all in the name of democracy.

Trump, if nothing else (and there IS plenty else) is making it OK to talk about all of this, at least.

PS: Well, it's like this, SafeNow. The AMA has limited the supply of doctors for a long time. I remember being amazed at how few spots at medical schools there were in my State yearly, I mean something like a hundred or two. The PC/Wokeness allowed these schools to bring in people from all over the world, including a push for more women, in the name of Diversity. I'm not sure why there couldn't be more White male doctors, i.e., enough of them to where they wouldn't all be so smug (from being in such high demand, with appointment times going to 9 months(!) ahead).

Just as in graduate schools of Engineering and Science, there's no reason White guys couldn't be filling these slots - other than the endless quest for cheap (research, and much-worse-yet. for the students, teaching) labor.

Were these English-speaking Docs you run into and like trained in the US? I know plenty of good people. Those trained in China, I think should work in China. To me, the supply shortage of good doctors in the US should be made up by Americans, just as the "supply shortage" of grad student researchers and instructors, people to run amusement park rides (seen a lot of weirdness there), roofers, framers, etc.

Yes, if you make your appointment today, it will deliver in nine months. I can’t prove it, but I’ll bet there are plenty of high-end, brilliant, dedicated, non-smug English-speaking docs in China who would happily relocate to The U.S. Trump would never initiate a massive migration program for them, because there are too many healthy, voting, anti-Chinese people in this country. In fact, right here on Unz, when I comment that my China-born doc is superb, the reply comments are mean and nasty and I am told to die already.
