I'm pretty sure I first read about this on ZeroHedge, but they use many stories from other sites - I'll get to the original.

Yea, Champlin Park Rebels! (In Minnesota) You go, Marissa Rothenberger! She's also received "All-Tournament Team" honors, don'tcha' know? We at Peak Stupidity don't really give a rat's hooootie - tryin' to sound Minnesoootan, don'tcha' know - abooot girls' sports, and we don't operate out of Minnesooota. Still, you go grrllll... wait, there's a tweet over there with this breaking girls' softball news:

The Daily Wire elucidates the slight sex discrepancy here: Boy Pitches Complete-Game Shutout To Win Girls’ Softball Championship. Complete game shutout - that's pretty good, but, wait, he's a boy and boys are stronger and pitch faster and ... oh, I gotta be careful here... I might piss off some Feminists, but then maybe not. I'm surprised at their ability to hold the "girls rule!" and "get off the field, boys!" thoughts in their not-so-pretty little heads at one time. Get back in the dugout, Feminists.
Anyway, that's not at all my point today, as it's all been said before. From the tweet, we read:
Every single Democrat in Minnesota voted to make this insanity possible.Yes, they're either completely mad, in the British sense, or deliberate destroyers of society and are out for humiliation.
So what? That doesn't matter this time. Can Americans ever realize that not every single facet of life must be decided by government? It's bad enough so many things are. Unlike vaccines (at times), girls softball is not mandatory. You don't have to let, or even make, your girls play in this league and put up with this genderbender stupidity. These girls in the Minnesota High School league aren't making a living at it.
Sickening.Well, yeah it is, but what's really sickening is that you people feel so helpless about this and won't DO ANYTHING. Don't complain about the judges and legislators. Don't go asking for Trump for help. (He has helped, though it's not really his business, and he'll probably TACO out of this one too.)
This is really easy, like hitting a slow-pitch softball sailing right over the plate. Quit en masse. Play your games at another ballpark in town. Take your balls and go home. (Pun not intended and hopefully not applicable!)

PS: Nice sarcasm, Adam!
(I'd better not go to TikTok though. Or is something you wrote? In that case, I would.)

PS: I don't know why the site is so slow right now, Mr. Anderson. I'll delete your dupe later on today.
That's funny - a 20 y/o athletic girl can beat a (don't know entirely) old man like me? Wow, that proves, like,... something ...
it sounds like Title IX and this new genderbender stuff are not playing well together. To me, it's enjoyable to see the contradictions and hypocrisy, but I'm sorry for the boys who just want to play field hockey, and somewhat for the girls that just want to play field hockey without getting trounced by boys.
That listicle would make a good post. What have y'all got?

PS: Well, they're stuck, SafeNow, if their Dads want them to win the championship in a farce. I.e. for the losers of this game in question, this whole thing should be a default by the other team, so they may as well just walk away, and for the winners, what kind of #Winning is that, with a boy pitching the game?
No, by the official organized HS league, I guess they can't continue. Just get with the other parents and tell them no game unless we play girls v girls. If the State bureaucrats interfere you just find a field somewhere and play. I do understand that this makes the whole thing unofficial, with not even an asterisk in the stats that are kept. So what? Is it about playing softball fairly or not?
I can see lots of parents balking at getting out of the system entirely. They are part of the problem, just as much as some MN legislators or judges somewhere.
It's not like this is resistance to the draft or something with imprisonment at stake. One way to have given it a try at least to start would have been to keep the girls in the dugout "until that boy is taken off the field". One would think the "winning" team parents/coach, etc. might have joined in. This would separate the sycophants of the State from the free-thinking resisters, a nice clear dividing line to help one see who he might not want to deal with in general.

PS How many people who support this madness have a “I fucking love science, bumper sticker on their car”?
I don’t know how it is in other states, but in Massachusetts, if a high school boy wishes to play a sport that is not offered for boys, most commonly field hockey, you must allow the boys to play on the girls team. More madness. The result is that you have boys running roughshod over girls.
I was at a soirée the other day arguing with one of the local moonbats the other day; who lapsed into the argument that (we were talking about hockey) “ the women that play colllege (ice) hockey are better than you are”. WOW! There’s a high standard; better than me , who couldn’t make my HS team back in the day.. I wonder, has anyone done a listicle about the things we’re supposed to accept as true that just aren’t?

PS
I confess I don’t get it, because it seems to me these girls are indeed stuck: There IS NO other way to play organized H.S. softball. Anyway, I was curious to see Marissa in action, so I looked for a video. I found one. Not easy…they don’t want people to see what’s going on. What’s going on is that the hitters can’t get around on the swing in time. This is not like a track meet or swim meet, where at least the biological girls can do their thing unimpaired by, not interacting with, not utterly disabled by, the trans.

The tiktok video is safe to watch, if you want to. It's nothing special nor exciting. Just 21 seconds of ol' Charlie pitching and striking out some girls. The rest of my comment was improvisational sarcasm. Well, except the 𝐶ℎ𝑒𝑒𝑟𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑎𝑛𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑏𝑒𝑎𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑓𝑢𝑙 𝑑𝑎𝑦! part. That was genuine.
It's been mostly beautiful here lately. I almost have the gardens back in shape. With all the rain (we seriously had like 25 inches of rain in the last month; that's twice+ the annual rainfall of San Diego) some of the weeds got a little wild. But it's ok because I'm turning most of them into mulch with the grass and other yard debris. Then, I finish it off with the garden torch. (So much fun!)
My replacement ratchet finally arrived in the mail after its nearly month long road trip. Unfortunately, it too was defective. I've received my refund on that, but I still have a defective ratchet to replace. (Or fix myself?) I've noticed that I can order one through HomeDepot. Maybe I'll try that next.(?)

And I ordered those rotator ratchets from London (GB, UK) only to find an empty package in my mailbox when they arrived. (Which was quite disappointing. Kind of an expensive package to go missing.) I think customs in NY didn't secure the package properly after inspecting it. Or, alternatively, they may have been stolen by a customs worker. So, no rotator ratchets, yet. I've started the ebay claims process but I have to wait until the 21st before they can move to the next step. I'd really like to have those ratchets (my 3/8" rotator ratchet is so handy!), but I'm not sure I'll ever see them. I may have to take a refund.
But I did score one of these for my collection...

I'm not sure how useful it will be (it might be something of a gimmick), but I guess time will tell. I have one like it with a longer handle that has proven to be quite handy on more than a few occasions.
So yeah. One out of four ain't bad.
(By clown world standards.)
We scored some tasty London broil at Publix last week for $4.50/lb. That was pretty cool. And I hear they have mock tender on sale this week for $5.50/lb. Not sure if we'll get over that way or not. Doesn't really matter. We're well stocked in the freezer and Publix is always running some sort of special.
Everything else around here is normal and otherwise uneventful.
(Just the way I like it.)
I hope you and the Newman family are enjoying your summer!
And I hope you have a great day!
