Juneteenth and the modern legacy of Black! slavery Enslavement

I'm late by a week. I don't even know if Popeye's Cajun Fried Chicken has deals anymore or if the nearby Zippy Mart does either on malt liquor. (What exactly IS malt liquor anyway? It's just beer in larger cans, right?) I'm talking Juneteenth, which has slipped by under the radar here at Peak Stupidity.

We didn't celebrate anyway, but there was one remark made. The YMCA league canceled a practice session for the kids. I'd thought it was the usual pussy-world thing of "It's too hot! The children will die!!" No, it was due to Juneteenth, and I put a word in in a text back that this was a "garbage holiday". (I was in a hurry - coulda' thought of something better to say.) There was no reply, which is a good sign, but then it might have been one of those accounts for which replies go straight into the ether (not -net).

Someone else chimed in about this High Black! Holy-Day. She's our favorite illegal immigrant* CongressRagHead outta Minneagadishu.

Omar Ilhan, or Ilhan Omar - I can never keep this straight - not worth trying - has a whole lot of things that she hates about the U.S. of A. I'm surprised she hasn't gone back home, what with all the racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, colonialist shit going on 'round here. It's just GOT TO BE better in the ole Somalia. I mean, geeeze, slavery , that is, Enslavement of people, just ended in this country only 160 years back... excluding the few, very minor episodes of it going on now in the enslavement-friendly immigrant communities... just cultural differences that we should celebrate, well, not on this particular holiday - see The Horrible Legacy of Slavery Continues ....

Anyway, shit was bad, see, so Rep Omar (D-SO) wrote a nice tweet.

She deleted it after a while. It turns out that in Rep Ilhan's old country, enslavement is still going on. Worse, yet, it's enslavement of Black! people. I'm pretty sure, otherwise I would sure hope some Black! helicopters, maybe camo, would be on the way. It's Black!folk Down over there in Somalia right now.

I am not surprised, as the Moslem world was the worst over the centuries when it came to forcing people into slavery. They took millions of black Africans, castrating the men, and then not as many, but still millions of White Europeans. The Crusaders didn't kick enough ass, IMHO. I don't think your average Afro-American Juneteenth celebratory BBQers, malt liquor drinkers and shots-ringing-out folks have any idea of the slavery ongoing TO THIS DAY in Somalia.

One wonders what Rep Omar's countrymen and country-pup-tenter enslavers need enslaved people for in this modern age of C-17 and C-5 (former) Military Airlift Command capabilities of delivering cargo-cult stuff on demand complaint. We've outsourced a lot to China, but I have heard that some of the not-so-mechanically-declined Somalians have been forced to work in outdoor sweatshops producing BMW and Maserati brake calipers and enslaved cylinders.

Here's the situation on the ground hot sand today:

Ilhan Omar really ought to STFU and GTFO. There's work to be done over there. She ought to bring her brosband too, as, after all, the goats aren't going to fuck themselves.

PS: Maybe that last sentence was uncalled for, but I read that from a ZH commenter and just HAD to use it. Thank you, whomever!

PS:

Hi Achmed. Yeah, it wasn't actually a conference, but a lobbying initiative. I was honored to be asked to help. A lot of work and fun.

Also, I sort of implied that Somalia is in western Africa, which I know it isn't. It's eastern. Sorry. Wow, there sure are a lot of directions on the compass to keep straight! Thankfully, I don't confuse up with down...yet.

PS: Also, Jim, I'm glad to hear about the conference. I hope you enjoyed the company of some of the best of our side.

PS: "Part of the reason (I suspect) for phrases like "forced labor" and "human trafficking" by the left is to minimize the modern day African slave business and to put a very distinct barrier between it and what happened in the past." Good point, Jim. I'd never thought of those as euphemisms for slavery exactly before.

The first one makes is sound like their might be some money in it still for those forced to labor, and the 2nd is generally associated with sex and minors. (I'm not saying it should be, as I used that term to describe what Dark Brandon was doing by letting illegal aliens be shipped around with no IDs but a piece of paper regarding their "parole" hearing dates.)

There really ought to be some way to bring to light this example of extreme hypocrisy to more Americans. "Yes, Black! people are being enslaved right now! We gotta do something?" "Where? In Mississippi, right?" "Uh, no, let me get out my globe..."

PS: Your June 27th 11:55A comment was very complimentary, SafeNow, so thanks for that. I've written before that keeping up with the news is just too stressful, as I can't write that many posts, and I'll get behind by weeks. However, I'm glad of what I do write, you appreciate the perspective.

Speaking of that time stamp, I've barely had time to read here (and TUR comments) much less comment for over a day now. Something that happened - nothing with any permanent effect - was a real shit show for me, and I've gotten something like 5 hours sleep in the last 2 days. However, at least I have gotten a very good post out of one part of that - it's not in the news category, so the post can come at any time, until I forget it.

PS: Mr. Hail, for some reason, duckduckgo didn't make it easy for me to find, to recall, the name of Kieth Ellison, that black Moslem congressman from that 5th District of MN, after a number of appropriate searches. Even "other than Omar" in there got me pictures of Omar. (Bing was presenting a pride flag today, so I won't use it.)

Anyway, that found, the wiki page on the 5th District - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minnesota%27s_5th_congressional_district - sure shows a big change in the population and the representatives (both running and winning) over the years.

The Moslems, probably with a big help from American blacks early on, got the boost they needed to get Ellison (at least he kept an America name - that matters to me a bit) into office in '06 to make it the Moslem seat, from a big showing by 3rd-party candidate Tammy Lee that year. Your memory was very good on this.

As you wrote, the Rubicon crossing was earlier than the '10s, at least for some regions.

PS:

About 25 years ago UNICEF released a statement saying that approximately 100,000 African children were enslaved every year in that part of the world. I don't know if it has declined since then. It wasn't until around 2005 that many black African countries started enacting or enforcing laws against slavery, but as Achmed points out, it still exists today, something the black left doesn't want you to think about.

Part of the reason (I suspect) for phrases like "forced labor" and "human trafficking" by the left is to minimize the modern day African slave business and to put a very distinct barrier between it and what happened in the past. The real distinction, however, is in the skin color of the enslavers...they just can't say that.

Their claim is that CHATTEL slavery is the worst of the worst, but I read an article from a MSM publication a few years ago that reported chattel slavery still happens in western Africa. (Somalia, as I recall.) They had story and photos of a young woman who had been born a slave. Can't remember the name of the publication, unfortunately.

As far as Minnesota goes, I was in D.C. earlier this year for an immigration related lobbying effort and I was teamed up with some Minnesota activists. I decided their presence was most effective in providing a cautionary tale to other states not yet as bad as MN with regards to immigration. Few ordinary people outside of the Southwest can speak as knowledgeably about immigration as conservative Minnesotans.

Thank you Mr. Moderator for helping me understand how she could possibly get elected, given her personality and ineptitude. You wondered out loud recently: Where do Peaksters get their news? Well, for me, the answer is: Right here, to a considerable extent. But, more often than GETTING the news, it’s a matter of “how to think about” the news.

PS

The decisive turn towards an Ilhan Omar-like figure was her immediate predecessor, the Black Muslim, who only squeaked into the seat around the late 2000s, as I recall. It was a divided race, and opponents were normal, traditional-Americans. After he squeaked in, the power of incumbency and Obama-era racial-scolding locked him in. The seat drifted into multiculturalist rotten-borough status.

Ilhan Omar is a kind of cartoonish figure, who came in during the later 2010s and seemingly is a perfect exemplar of the Saielr theory (and many others) that the 2010s were highly unique, that something went really wrong suddenly, starting around 2012-13-14. In fact, all these trends were visible in earlier forms in the 1990s and 2000s. The Ilhan Omar seat is a good case of the big shift, the Rubicon-crossing, coming far earlier than ca.2013.

PS: You gave her the benefit of the doubt, SafeNow, and she let you down.

Why'd she get elected in Minnesota? I can't blame most of the MInnesotans or even Minneapolitans or the White voters of the area too much. I blame the people who brought in the 10's to 100's of thousands of Somalians. The latter became Omar's voter base... with, yeah, I guess a number of very nice, compassionate White ladies too.

Mr. Sailer had a map of the voter (exit poll?) results for that D-primary vote for a Communist. I guess immigrants (40% of the city are foreign-born, from what I read), but again, some of the lefty White people are responsible, per the data. Disgusting.

PS
I had never heard her actually doing her job….questioning a witness appearing before her committee. So, I sez to myself, SafeNow, be fair, don’t just go by the worrying biographical information appearing in the post and otherwise within your knowledge. So, I skimmed a few videos of her doing her job, and, she is truly the most insufferable, annoying, incompetent, stupid, gloatinggrinning congressperson I have ever watched and heard. And it’s scary to think …this personality got her elected by the people of Minnesota.
